Wrap up the summer season and join us for an unforgettable Labour Day celebration surrounded by stunning landscapes, starry skies, and lake-side serenity. Spend the long weekend connecting with community, exploring the outdoors, and dancing under the stars on a remote island in Quebec’s Pontiac region.

This trip is open to everyone, with a special invitation to our 2SLGBTQ+ community. Come as you are—let’s celebrate, connect, and create memories together.
🗓️ Dates
- Orientation: August 26th at 5:30 PM at T's Pub (323 Somerset St W, Ottawa, ON K2P 0J8). Optional, but recommended, to meet your Adventure Guides, connect with fellow campers, and learn what to expect.
- Departure: August 30th to September 1st. We’ll head out around 10:00 AM on August 30th—final departure time will be confirmed no later than one week before the trip.
🚤 Transportation
We’ll be ferrying participants to and from the island via pontoon. If you have your own canoe or kayak, you’re welcome to bring it along!
Specific meeting details will be provided after registration. The boat launch is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Ottawa. If you're driving and bringing other campers, we’ll provide a reimbursement of $0.39/km.
🏕 Tents & Bedding
We’ve got your tent covered—literally. Out at Camp provides the tents! All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and pillow. Don’t have bedding? No worries—our Gear Library has extras available. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure you’re set up for a comfy weekend under the stars.
✅ What’s Included
- Tent: Provided by Out at Camp.
- Meals: Ingredients and snacks are provided—we’ll cook and clean together as a team.
- Cooking & Camp Gear: Shared equipment like stoves, pots, and utensils are all provided, along with other common camping essentials.
- Transportation: We rely on carpooling within our community. Drivers transporting other campers will be reimbursed at $0.39/km.
🎒 What to Bring
Please bring your own sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and pillow. If you don’t have these, let us know—we may be able to lend you gear from the Out at Camp Gear Library.
Also remember to pack:
- 🧥 Clothing suitable for outdoor weather—layers are your best friend!
- 🧼 Toiletries and personal hygiene items
- 💊 Any medication you take regularly
- 🍫 Optional: snacks or beverages you’d like to have on hand
🔥 Activities
Evenings are all about campfires, good company, and stargazing. During the day, enjoy a mix of guided and self-led activities including:
- Paddleboarding
- Canoeing
- Swimming
- Fishing (licence required)
- Hiking
- Connecting with nature
- Relaxing on the beach
