Out at Camp is a shared space. These are the principles that keep it that way: good for the land, good for the people on it, and good for the wildlife that was here first.
Respect for people
- Treat fellow campers with courtesy. That includes their feelings, their bodies, their belongings, and their campsite.
- No teasing, bullying, or unkind behaviour directed at anyone.
- Keep your language and gestures appropriate. No verbal threats, no raised voices.
- Respect the beliefs, identities, and boundaries of others.
- Honour quiet hours set by the campsite.
- Give people their space. Don't wander into someone else's campsite uninvited.
Respect for the environment
- Pack out what you pack in. Leave the site better than you found it.
- No soap in the lake. Dispose of dishwater and grey water well away from the waterline, following Leave No Trace principles.
- No feeding wildlife or pets human food.
Safety
- Don't do anything that puts yourself or others at risk of harm.
- If something feels off, speak up. We'd rather deal with it early.
