Out at Camp

About

Queer outdoors, built for belonging.

Out at Camp is a non-profit creating welcoming outdoor experiences, accessible gear, and warm community for queer adventurers.

About Out at Camp

Out at Camp is a non-profit organisation bringing the 2SLGBTQ+ community into the woods, onto the water, and up the trail, together. Our programs are built around the idea that the outdoors belongs to all of us, and that the best trips happen when you can show up exactly as you are.

Our Mission

Out at Camp creates outdoor experiences where every person, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, is genuinely welcomed and free to be themselves. We build programs that grow skills, deepen community, and make space for the kind of belonging that sticks with you long after the tent comes down.

Our Vision

We're working toward a world where the 2SLGBTQ+ community has a full and easy relationship with the natural world: a world where the trailhead is a place you walk toward, not past.

Our Values

Inclusivity: We celebrate diversity and work to build spaces that genuinely welcome and respect everyone.

Growth: We believe outdoor experience builds confidence and capability in ways that carry over into the rest of life.

Community: We cultivate a strong, lasting sense of connection among 2SLGBTQ+ people in the outdoors.

Sustainability: We promote environmental stewardship and the protection of the natural world for the people and creatures who come after us.

Our Activities

Throughout the year we run guided camping trips, hikes, paddle days, and our annual gala: experiences designed to celebrate the people who show up, build real skills, and deepen community while spending time in places worth protecting.

Coming up: a Community Gear Library and a Community Rental Program, both aimed at lowering the financial barriers that keep people out of the outdoors. Good kit should not be the reason you stay home.
