Before you choose gear
Pick your dates first, then browse what is available for that window. Pickup and return both happen at Stroked Ego during store hours.
Free for members
Gear is free to borrow. We keep a card on file for lost, late, or damaged gear fees only.
Pick up + drop off
Stroked Ego, 2nd Floor, 131 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON K1P 5N7. Store hours: Monday to Saturday 11am–6pm; Sunday 12pm–5pm.
Reserve before visiting
Sign in, choose dates, add available gear, accept the rental agreement, and submit your reservation before heading to the store.
Return it ready
Return gear clean, dry, neatly packed, and on time so the next camper can use it.
Borrow for yourself
The Gear Library is a shared community resource for individual borrowers. Reserve only the equipment you will personally use. Everyone in a group should reserve their own gear through their own account so responsibility stays with the person borrowing it. Contact OAC if you are planning a special event. If we approve a larger reservation, OAC staff will create it for you.
If Stroked Ego is closed on your return date, returning the gear first thing the next morning when they open is fine.
